It is amazing to me how this much experience can include even more mistakes. So, "dumb luck" must have been the best answer all along. What do you think?

Your eighth decade is about to begin. Since you have been our leader and are older then most of us, perhaps you could let us know what it is like. Wonderful I am sure. Another birthday for you. Congratulations!!! Missed you last weekend. Went to Newport for the class breakfast with Gary Peterson and went Hwy 20. The Fogarty's, Dale Kennedy, Pat Plunkett, Claudia, Kathy Burt, Jeanne,Eleanor and more....... about a total of 20. Sorry to miss you.

Harold Haines now lives in town. Gary and I were going to stop on the way back to Corvallis and see him at his farm but Eleanor LeMaster said he now lives close to her. It is just across 101 from my parent's house----- up on the hill past Coach Morrow's. There are about 150 mobile homes up there. Nice place.

We caught Harold at home and had a good visit. Of course we spoke a little about the olden days in Football but mostly just caught up. He has 11 grand children! That's really cool and I think is the most I know within our friends. I don't think even Mary Hall/Dorsey can beat that-- maybe.

I am still going to go via your route soon and come harass you a little. Given Lorene's permission of course.

Happy birthday again and hopefully many more.

Oregon State has renewed my enthusiasm for good baseball with a great team and year. Every time a pitcher starts to throw too many balls I think they could use your help (at 18).

Last night, tied in the bottom of the ninth with a runner on first and one out , UW walked the OSU number 2 hitter on purpose, followed by the OSU number three hitter, to load the bases. (OSU's number 2 hitter leads the Pac12 in rbi's, with number 3 right behind in rbi's). That is the first time I have ever seen two hitters walked in a row on purpose. ... OSU's number four hitter came up with one out and hit a clean single to center for the "walk off" score. . Good baseball you would enjoy.

Stay happy and healthy. 80 isn't far away.

Happy Birthday always. I'm three days early but that's better than late. I knew you would lick the big C so you could fly to more places on the globe. Reser Westside is just a hole right now but soon to be a palace. You will need to join with us at least once this season and watch it rise .......and we can enjoy some Bob Thompson humor, beer & vittles while we are there.
